Who we are

The Odd Length - that is what our shop was called when it opened in 1980. The name changed to Station Bargain Warehouse when we moved into an old warehouse on the corner of Dirkie Uys Street & Burg Street in the early 1990s.

The Station Bargain Warehouse is a hidden gem - stocking a surprising assortment of haberdashery and carefully selected, quality fabrics. We take pride in our friendly and knowledgeable staff - all of whom have worked here for years.

We cater to a wide range of customers. Some enjoy sewing and crafts as a hobby, some run small businesses, while others might be from churches, schools, charity organisations, etc. No matter what your needs are, we will go the extra mile to assist! We also offer to courier orders to small towns who don't have a fabric and haberdashery shop (terms & conditions apply).

The latest seasonal fashion fabrics - suitable for evening and day wear, for dresses, trousers, coats, shirts etc. These include cotton fabrics, poly-cotton and other cotton mixes, as well as linen mixes, Mini Matt, satin, lining, organza, chiffon, track-suiting, fleece, velvet, knits and stretch fabrics.
Fabric used for hobbies, crafts, curtaining and furnishing, including felt, clear plastic, plastic tabling, fabric tabling, vinyl, stuffing, batting, etc.
Haberdashery - including a large range of buttons, fasteners, zips, needles, pins, thread, scissors, lace, braids, elastic, Velcro, piping, ribbons, Vilene, sequins, and much more.
